Summary: (From Goodreads)
The missing dead call to Violet. They want to be found.
Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.
As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

My Review:
My first thought after reading this book? SQUEE! SQUEE! SQUEE! I enjoying this book to the full extent, and Desires of the Dead has to be one of my favorite books.

I was a huge fan of The Body Finder, and I was highly looking forward to Desires of the Dead. It did not dissapoint. I think I actually liked it more than the Body Finder. There were some brand new elements that I never remembered from The Body Finder, and tons of awesome elements that were brought back, and I enjoyed.

Alright, let's get down to business. Jay. Sigh. I love Jay.....seriously, I think I want to marry him. He's the most crush-worthy boy out there, and I think him as well as Violet and Jay's relationship added the best romantic sizzle to Desires of the Dead. Jay's every girl's dream, he's sweet, hot, smart, and he truely cares about Violet. I still love how he was her best friend, and he's not some paranormal creature, since it hads a nice *normal* romantic touch to Desires of the Dead.

I also love mystery. And this book has the awesomest kick-butt mystery type of plot. Mix in Violet's ability, and you have a book that is addicting, exihilirating, and chilling! (Also.....I mean this in a good way.....who was having a few Pretty Little Liars moments with all the notes and phone calls Violet was getting? I so was!)

Besides that......I loved Raffe, Sarah, and the whole FBI part of this book. It was just plain creepiness, and I still smell something fishy there. Also.....I can tell Kimberly is setting up something big for the character of Raffe.....I can't wait! I have a bit of a crush on him!

I feel there's so much to say about this book, but I can't put it into words. All I know is that this is setting up for something even BIGGER. But Desires of the Dead was big. An awesome and addicting novel, and I recommend it to fans of the first book, as well as any mystery-creepy-jump-out-of-your-pants lover. If you haven't read the first, what are you doing just standing there?
