I laughed. I cried. Beautiful Creatures had it all!

Beautiful Creatures is about Ethan Wate, who lives in the small town of Gatlin County, where nothing ever changes. Then mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes moves to town, and she's different from everybody in Gatlin. She lives in the old plantation house Ravenwood manor with her uncle, the infamous Macon Ravenwood, who never leaves his house. Strange things are always going on at Ravenwood. Soon, Ethan discovers that Lena is the girl he has been having nightmares about, and he finds himself drawing closer to her. He then discovers the secret that Lena and her family have been hiding, and the curse that threatens every one of them. In a rush to help Lena, Ethan discovers the world that has always lived in Gatlin, and how a supernatural war is raging. Secrets meets supernatural in this irresistible, gothic tale set in South Carolina.

 The setting of Gatlin County was fantastic, so intriguing, gothic, and quite frankly, the best setting ever! I loved it. I want to live in Gatlin. It is very well described, and I felt as if I was standing right there. It is rich, gothic, lush, spooky, and I had so much fun reading about it! It is quite dark, but I had so much fun reading about this setting! I can't wait to here more, as both sides of Gatlin created the best setting imaginable!

  As for the characters, loved them! They were all so great and alot of fun to read about! I can't decide which one is my favourite, but I liked each for a certain thing, and hated each for a certain thing. I liked Ethan for wishing to be different, but Lena bugged me because she had totally accepted everything. I liked the air Marian had to her, and Link being so comical, and all of Lena's family for just being so surprising and entertaining!

Everything else in Beautiful Creatures was amazing; the writing, the plot, everything! I am so excited to here more about Ethan and Lena and Gatlin and everything else! Pick this book up and read it toay! (Yep, I sound like I'm advertising......) You won't regret it.
